Matchbooks in my collection are from the 1970s to today.
A majority of matchbooks are from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
There is a smaller group of matchbooks from New York.
Other categories include hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, department stores and banks.
Along comes the no-smoking laws and matches became scarce.
When moving into a one bedroom apartment and merging our lives, I had to get rid of a lot of things. I scanned matchbooks and tossed out the matchbooks. I wish I did a better job of scanning, like scan at a higher resolution and larger image size.
